MARIGOLD
Resurrection
Mourning
Strength
Wealth
Boldness
Protection
We are in the thick of Leo season and when this flower presented itself for the month of August, I immediately thought of the Strength card in the tarot deck - the lady with her lion. Marigold's ruffled petals fan out unabashedly, strong and proud like the lion's mane.
It is a popular flower in home gardens as it repels pests that are detrimental to the other plants in the garden.
We are encouraged to recognize that some boldness is necessary
Even Marigolds' roots repel invasive pests in the soil. As such, it protects the good of the whole garden simply by being its vibrant, fragrant self.
Individually, we are encouraged to recognize that some boldness is necessary to protect the more delicate parts of ourselves. Whether it be speaking a truth, cutting ties with people and habits that drain our life force, or finally showcasing a hidden talent.
Collectively, we are encouraged to be bold in our envisioning of the future. To not let the past, or present, dictate the future. To release jaded, pessimistic attitudes and dare to believe in the world of our dreams.
Marigold reminds us that our inner strength comes directly from our divine essence.
Marigold is also letting us know that we are particularly protected this month in any work we do to heal deep wounds, mourn losses and release past hurts.
Marigold reminds us that our inner strength comes directly from our divine essence. Our spirit teams are simply an extension of that which we already are - and they are always happily willing to remind us of that.
Love, Samara
